According to a release, the footbridge crossing Emmet Street, connecting Newcomb Road South with Ridley Hall, will be taken down this weekend. A new bridge was constructed as part of the Contemplative Commons project. It will replace the other bridge that was built in the 1970s. The road will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday until 9 p.m. Sunday. The university says detours around the area will be marked.
