    Share A fight broke out in a Sedgwick County courtroom Tuesday as a sentence was handed down for the man convicted in a fatal shooting at a Wichita shopping mall. A sentencing hearing was held for 19-year-old Te’Bryis Robinson, who had pleaded no contest last July to second degree murder, attempted second degree murder and aggravated battery. He was sentenced to 255 months, over 21 years, for the March, 2022 shooting death of 14-year-old TrenJ’vious Hutton at Towne East Square.

    The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday that human remains found in 1973 have been positively identified.  DNA testing confirmed that the remains were those of Jimmy Allen Dollison, who had been living in Kansas City, Kansas. Dollison disappeared sometime in October or November of 1972, when he was 16-years-old. According to family members, he was reported missing by his parents, but the family never learned what happened to him.

    A Wichita man has been charged in the theft of an historic cannon from a local park. A hearing was held Tuesday for 37-year-old Gordon Pierce III on charges of theft, aggravated criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia for use. His bond was set at $200,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for April 21st. Pierce is accused of taking an historic Spanish cannon from the Spanish-American War Memorial at Central Riverside Park.
