    STARKE, Fla. (AP) — A man convicted of raping and killing a woman near a central Florida bar was executed Tuesday evening. Thomas Lee Gudinas, 51, was pronounced dead at 6:13 p.m. following a lethal injection at Florida State Prison near Starke, said Bryan Griffin, a spokesman for Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. Gudinas was convicted of the May 1994 killing of Michelle McGrath.

    SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KFDA) - The Amarillo Sod Poodles defeated the NW Arkansas Naturals, 7-1, on Friday. Manuel Pena got Amarillo off to a hot start, homering on the very first pitch of the game. It was the third time in franchise history that a Sod Poodle has done so. They added more crooked numbers in the 2nd and 3rd innings. NW Arkansas scored their lone run in the 4th, and Amarillo secured the win with runs in the 5th and 7th. Pena led the team with a game-high three RBIs, batting 2-4.
