Police carried out warrants across the borough (Image: Herts police) Four people have been arrested in Welwyn Hatfield on suspicion of drug offences, as part of a wider investigation into money laundering. A series of warrants were recently conducted by the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by the constabulary’s Operational Support Group, Operation Scorpion, Digital Media Investigation Team and Scientific Services.

On May 8, 1945, the guns fell silent and war finally came to an end in Europe, with joyous celebrations erupting across the country. VE Day celebrations usually consist of plenty of community events, street parties and bountiful bunting.
