The outlook for the agricultural land market remains strong for 2025 and are forecasting that the price of agricultural land nationally will increase by 6% on average this year. In a major new report with Teagasc, auctioneer, and valuer members of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI), operating in the agricultural sales and rental market say average rental prices in 2025 are expected to increase by 7%.

Over 70 pedigree registered Aubrac cattle will come under the hammer at GVM Group Tullamore Mart, on this Saturday, May 3. The Irish Aubrac Cattle Society’s highly anticipated pedigree sale will feature over 50 lots catalogued, including pedigree breeding bulls, weanling heifers, maiden heifers and in-calf heifers. All animals are to be penned by 10am, with the sale, also being hosted on LSL Auctions, due to commence at 12 noon.

For the second year in succession an Africa Day event will take place on Saturday, May 31, in O'Connor Square in Tullamore. "Our aim for the event is to showcase African culture in the form of music, food, dance and drumming, all while encouraging everyone to take part in this colourful fun day," said Anna Heagney of the organising committee.
