A patient who had a large cyst and almost five pints of fluid removed with the help of a surgical robot says he wouldn’t hesitate recommending the technology to a friend. Retired shop manager, David Power, 73, expressed his support for the surgical aid as the trust which carried out the operation celebrated the first anniversary today of its second robot being unveiled. The da Vinci robot was provided thanks to a £1.5m fund-raising campaign by the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT).
