    At the T-B-T Wichita Regional Thursday night, the Purple and Black won their first-round game outscoring DaGuys 72-59. Marcus Foster and D.J. Johnson led the Purple and Black with 11 points. Thomas Gipson III added 10 points. Purple and Black will play Team Arkansas tonight at 6 pm. The AfterShocks defeated the B1Ballers 66-54. Darral Willis Jr led the AfterShocks with 12 points. Tyrus McGee added 11 points and Caleb Walker added 10 points.

    The Detroit Tigers slipped past the Kansas City Royals 3-2 Wednesday night. The Royals scored 2 runs in the 5th. Michael Massey doubled to drive in the first run. Massey would score on a Kyle Isbel double to give the Royals a 2-1 lead. That lead did not last long, Detroit would score 2 runs in the top of the 6th to retake the lead. The Royals and Tigers wrap up their 4 game series Thursday afternoon. Zack Greinke, coming off the injured list, will make the start for the Royals.

He will be the only Emporia Golfer to advance to match play.

    At the TBT regional tournament in Wichita Wednesday, Mass Street – made up of KU players – defeated We Are D3 70-67. Thomas Robinson led the way with a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds. Mario Little added 17 points and Keith Langford finished with 15 points. Mass Street will play ShowMe – made up of Missouri alumni – Saturday at 3 pm. ShowMe outscored the Vegas Rebellion 96-90. Thursday- The K-State alumni team of Purple and Black plays DaGuys at 6 pm.
