Lauren Alvarez, Valley Stream District, WR/CB, SR. The two-way threat had 450 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. She also had 45 flag pulls and eight interceptions. Caitlin Barry, MacArthur, WR/LB, Sr.She caught 39 passes for 349 yards and six touchdowns. Barry also had 60 flag pulls and four INTs for the Generals, who went 13-4. Alexa Benun, Port Washington, WR/SS, Sr.The speedy 5-6 wide receiver rushed for 1,008 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. She also had two interceptions.

A teammate yelled "barrel it up" from the bench. C.J. Alfano and his "torpedo bat" obliged. The junior first baseman for St. Anthony's drilled a line drive off the top of the right centerfield fence some 350 feet from the plate at the College Point Field Complex in Queens. Alfano turned on a 1-and-0 pitch and the ball left his new wooden "torpedo bat" in a hurry. The ball was destined for Ulmer Street before the top of the 20-foot outfield fence diverted its path from oncoming traffic.

The original New York Dragon is joining the new-look New York Dragons' coaching staff. Sean Tremblay, the first player signed by the original New York Dragons of the Arena Football League in 2001, has been named an assistant coach for the New York Dragons of the Entertainment Football Association. “We’re excited to have Sean join the staff,” said Gerald Filardi, the Dragons head coach and director of football operations. “He brings a lot of coaching and playing experience to the staff.
