WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people have been charged after a woman was shot while driving in Winston-Salem. According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, 19-year-old Timothie Makie Joyner and 17-year-old Cimal Rashona Braxton were arrested and charged on Wednesday after the Tuesday night shooting. At about 5:19 p.m. on Tuesday, Winston-Salem police say officers responded to a shooting on the 1600 block of North Liberty Street.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Not all crimes carry an equal weight in a community. The Greensboro Police Department showed FOX8 the new way they are tracking crime. They say the intention is to increase transparency and provide a more accurate representation of what’s happening in the city. Greensboro police say they are the first in the United States to publicize using this weighed system. Before, Greensboro police used Instant Base Reporting to share crime statistics.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Four cyber tips to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office led to investigators uncovering 75 other people who were allegedly involved in the sexual exploitation of a child. So far, 201 victims, who are all children, have been identified. Joshua Rojas will now spend 20 years behind bars after pleading guilty to five counts of child exploitation, but law enforcement says the investigation isn’t over.
