Starting June 1, 30 city-run pools are officially open to the public. But for now, they’re only operating on weekends until June 8. Beginning Monday, June 9, they’ll open daily for the summer season.

Wednesday morning, two of the three people arrested by JSO appeared before a judge after Tuesday night's disruption at Jacksonville's City Council meeting. Tuesday night, JSO arrested Connor Cauley, Teagan Belloit and Leah Grady at the meeting, saying they caused a disturbance.

    COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. — Nearly 20 years after Doris Worrell was found murdered inside the business she ran with her husband Jon Worrell in Douglas, Georgia, an arrest has finally been made. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced this week that Jon Worrell, 58, has been charged with his wife’s 2006 murder. Worrell was taken into custody at his home in Maryville, Missouri, where authorities say he had been living under the radar for years.

    YULEE, Fla. — A family in Yulee is still in shock after a small single-engine plane crash right outside their home Saturday morning. The crash caused their backyard fence to go up in flames. The family told First Coast News their family is safe but feels heartbroken for the 56-year-old man who lost his life. 90-year-old Billy Cowart and his wife are still trying to wrap their minds around a plane crashing just yards away from their home Saturday morning.

The bill is now before Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis's desk and awaits his signature. Jacksonville parents tell First Coast News they want their children to be allowed to use their cellphones incase there is an emergency.
