One person died in a three-vehicle crash in the Conway area Saturday evening, May 31, the S.C. Highway Patrol reports. The crash happened around 4:55 p.m. on U.S. 378 near Pitts Landing Road, said Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with SCHP. A 2006 Honda SUV and a 2010 Mazda hatchback were traveling west on U.S. 378 when the Honda struck the Mazda, Bolt said. The Mazda then crossed the center line and struck a 2014 GMC pick-up traveling east.

Myrtle Beach Police Department released dash camera footage and named three police involved in the officer-involved shooting along Ocean Boulevard that left an 18-year-old dead and 11 injured. The department released a nearly 8-and-a-half-minute video, providing updates on the April 26 shooting. MBPD Chief Amy Prock addresses the community in the video released by the city Thursday, May 29, naming patrol officer Brandon O'Rourke as the officer who fired his weapon.

Atlantic Beach officials on Sunday, May 25, attempted to shut down rumors circulating social media about an incident with mass casualties on Saturday night. The town released a statement Sunday, saying there were no mass casualties and after a brief pause Saturday, the event continued until it ending at 3 a.m."There were a couple of fights that broke out causing panic in the crowd and several people were injured trying to leave the area," the town said in a statement.

Henry Lee Turner never showed up to the family cookout. It was unlike him to be a no-show. He’d never miss an event like that. The 74-year-old was a good father and grandfather. And he was a friend to everyone, including his newest friend Stephen Stanko. After the cookout that April night in 2005, Turner’s son Roger Turner laid down for bed. What he saw on the 11 p.m. news put an immediate pit in his stomach. His dad’s newest friend was wanted for the murder of a woman in Georgetown County.
