WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A few storms are lingering across the state early this morning. However, a cold front will continue to push them out mid-morning. Expect a mostly dry and much cooler Friday afternoon, with highs ranging from the 50s to the 60s. Storm chances will continue into the weekend, with storms arriving on Saturday, mainly during the morning and early afternoon. Storms will be scattered across the area and severe weather is not expected.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Some parts of western Kansas approached or exceeded three inches of rain as of 7 a.m. Thursday. Scott City’s measured total is 3.09 inches, with Leoti just behind at 2.98 inches. Ness City has also exceeded 2 inches, with a 2.05-inch recorded total. But not all of southwest and western Kansas was included in the heavier rainfall. Liberal received just 2/100 of an inch and Goodland a little over 1/10.
