WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - It’s a cool and dry start to Friday, with wake-up temperatures in the low 50s. Mostly sunny skies and light winds will help warm afternoon highs to the upper 70s today and then the low to middle 80s heading into the weekend. While a majority of the weekend will be dry, there is a weak system passing through eastern Kansas that could bring a chance for some isolated storms Saturday afternoon/evening. A few storms could produce some hail and gusty winds.

While winds will be light across central Kansas, they will become gusty in western Kansas. A large but slow moving system will begin to move into the area early next week, bringing several rounds of showers and storms. While severe weather is unlikely, periods of heavy rain are possible.
