Share Dry and beautiful weather will follow into the weekend, with mainly sunny skies and highs in the 70s. While winds will be light across central Kansas, they will become gusty in western Kansas. A large but slow moving system will begin to move into the area early next week, bringing several rounds of showers and storms. While severe weather is unlikely, periods of heavy rain are possible.

Expect a mostly dry and much cooler Friday afternoon, with highs ranging from the 50s to the 60s. Storm chances will continue into the weekend, with storms arriving on Saturday, mainly during the morning and early afternoon. Storms will be scattered across the area and severe weather is not expected.
