The Fixer is someone who looks at a situation and decides to do something about it. They may not know where the solution lies, but they jump in and make a start. Their approach is to say, “Let’s get something fixed and move on from there.”This is someone who’s good at getting others involved and moving things along through their network and contacts.

Race and ethnicity are often combined and frequently confused. Why aren’t there enough women on corporate boards? Two of the myths that still prevail are that there is a shortage of qualified women and that the few who are qualified simply don’t network enough. New research from IMD and The Boardroom demonstrates that these assumptions are at best outdated and at worst harmful to progress toward greater board diversity. The research is based on an opinion survey of 130 senior women executives in 18 European countries, augmented by 15 in-depth interviews.
