Speaking with a reporter, Walker explained that Kunze’s family reported him missing to the Dewitt County Sheriff’s Office around 12:30 a.m. He had been missing for approximately four hours by that point. “Their son went out for a walk at about 8:30 last evening and had not returned,” Walker said.

Update on 3/20 at 11:35 a.m.VERMILION COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — The Vermilion County Coroner has identified the Indiana man who was killed in an accident on I-74 Wednesday evening. Coroner Jane McFadden confirmed that 56-year-old Brett Wagner of Avon, Ind., died as a result of the accident. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday. Update at 4:03 p.m.The Champaign County Coroner has identified a man from Indiana as the person who was killed in a crash on Interstate 74 in Vermilion County Tuesday morning. Laurie Brauer said the man was 35-year-old Isaiah Edmond. After being extracted from the wreckage of his car near Fithian, Edmond was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana. He was pronounced dead there at 5:27 a.m.An autopsy is scheduled for later this week, Brauer added.

Update at 10:07 a.m.The westbound lanes of Interstate 74 have reopened, State Police said. FITHIAN, Ill. (WCIA) — One person is dead after an early morning crash on I-74 westbound in Vermilion County. State Police said around 3:53 a.m., troopers responded to a reported two-unit fatal crash involving a car and tractor-trailer at milepost 200 near Fithian. One person involved in the accident was pronounced dead, State Police added.
