The federal election campaign is well underway with just over two weeks until election day. Local candidates vying for your vote have been going door-to-door, putting up election signs, posting to social media and attending the occasional all candidates forum. The party leaders have been crisscrossing the country holding rallies, media opportunities and speaking with voters. Here's a look back at the third week of the federal election campaign.

Zachary Petropolis, who was born in 1996, is charged with causing unnecessary pain and suffering to his dog, according to a BC SPCA media release. The SPCA received a number of calls to the organization’s animal helpline in December of 2023.

‘Giving patients the option’: Home-based hospital care now available in Central Okanagan

Patients in the Central Okanagan now have access to a new program that will let them stay in their own home and get hospital-quality care. The Hospital at Home program was launched in January at Kelowna General Hospital, according to an Interior Health media releases issued today, March 12. The home-care option is available for patients with acute medical needs who also need hospitalization and inpatient care, Interior Health said. Patients will get daily visits and virtual consultations.
