CLAY COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A Clay County man is accused of shooting and killing a couple in the community of Ivydale earlier this week. According to a criminal complaint, the bodies of Brenda Dennis and Richard Bishop were found with gunshot wounds inside a home on Big Otter Highway in Ivydale Thursday evening. The complaint said that the person who found their bodies said they believed Michael Adkins, 58, of Duck, to be involved.

CABELL COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A gravedigger at a Cabell County cemetery was arrested on Wednesday after a baby’s corpse, buried in 1982, and a busted casket were found on the grounds of Baylous Cemetery last week. A person decorating graves at the Baylous Cemetery in Salt Rock called 911 a little after 7:15 p.m. on March 27 after finding the corpse and casket.

GALLIPOLIS, OH (WOWK) – An Ohio cell phone repairman accused of downloading nude photos from customers’ phones could spend nearly five decades behind bars, according to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost. Calvin Jordan, 27, of Gallipolis, has been sentenced to 49 to 51 years in prison, Yost says. According to the Attorney General’s Office, Jordan pleaded guilty in February to 40 charges against him in the case. Yost says Jordan must also register as a Tier II sex offender.

SALT ROCK, WV (WOWK) — A baby’s corpse and a busted casket were found at the Baylous Cemetery in Salt Rock Thursday evening, according to the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office. They said the boy’s body was found on the ground and the casket was over a hillside. It is unknown the site of the original burial, and the boy’s corpse has been sent to the medical examiner’s office, according to the sheriff’s office.

BRAXTON COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A man was arrested on Friday in connection to a woman’s body being found in Braxton County earlier this week. According to the West Virginia State Police, Christopher Lacey, 59, of Burnsville, is being charged with concealment of a human body and failure to render aid in connection to the death of 36-year-old Belinda Riffle. Riffle’s body was found in a rural area of Vernon on Monday, according to the State Police.
