Two injured in accidental shooting in Blue Earth

BLUE EARTH, Minn. (KEYC) - Two people are injured in what police say was an accidental shooting in Blue Earth. Sunday night around 10:20 the Blue Earth Police Department received a call of two gunshot victims who had been admitted to the United Hospital District emergency room. In a release, the department said the two victims of the incident were 20 year old Alexia Andreoff and 19 year old Luis Hernandez both of Blue Earth.
MAPS receives financial aid for homeless students

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Mankato Area Public School District receives money from the state to help support students experiencing homelessness. According to the Minnesota Department of Education, MAPS is among 21 other districts receiving $1-million dollars in grant money. The money is thanks in part to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act which allows the U-S Department of Education to distribute funds across the country to help improve the academic success of homeless students.

Minneapolis, Minn. (KEYC) - The Springfield Tigers won the Class A Minnesota state high school championship over Parkers Prairie 4-1 on Friday morning at Target Field. The Tigers allowed a run in the first inning before answering back with one of their own in the bottom of the frame. Springfield would score two in the third inning going up for good and on the way to their second title in school history.
