The Watertown Public Opinion is a daily newspaper that comes out six days a week in Watertown, South Dakota. It caters to readers in eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota. The newspaper is published in the afternoons from Monday to Friday, with a special weekend edition available on Saturday mornings. As the fourth largest newspaper in South Dakota, it has been part of the United Communications Corporation based in Kenosha, Wisconsin, since 2002.

A small investment group of five Sioux Falls locals formed an LLC called South Side Partners and purchased the business located at 6211 S. Old Village Place from former owner Nikki Ellerbroek, who was looking for a buyer. Now the pub has a new lease on life as the group officially purchased McNally's on April 4.
