Santa Claus arrived by boat and was led to the rink by Caldwell Parish students, and turned on the lights for the Christmas display surrounding the rink. Those who wished to skate could do so for only $10.

(KTVE/KARD) — John Clay McCarthy, a 4th grader at Ouachita Christian School, is now the 10th person in North Louisiana to be accepted into “MENSA.” He is the first student to be selected from OCS. MENSA is the oldest and largest IQ society in the world. Daniel McCarthy, John Clay’s father, says he could not be more proud. I’ve never heard of Mensa before this.

(KTVE/KARD) — The Christmas at Kiroli festivities have officially begun!Kiroli’s “Christmas Concert in the Park” gave attendees a chance to stroll the park and look at various Christmas displays, all while sipping on some coffee or hot chocolate. Attendee Nani Thibodeaux told us what she was most excited about. I don’t actually know, but I think this is like a singing concert, so I hope that I’m going to see Taylor Swift.

(KTVE/KARD) — On November 16, 2024, state officials, VIP ticket holders, and Nashville music “legends” all gathered in the town of Baskin, La, to honor and celebrate Country superstar Lainey Wilson. During the ceremony, state officials and fellow country singers shared words of encouragement and admiration for the country music star. Dolly Parton joined the private ceremony via video call to congratulate her friend, Lainey.

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — The Chennault Aviation and Military Museum of Monroe hosted their Veterans Day Celebration on Monday evening. President and CEO of the Museum Nell Calloway shared that many veterans across the Ark-La-Miss attended, along with a guest speaker from the National Guard. The ceremony was hosted by the West Monroe ROTC, and the lighting of the freedom trees followed.
