PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Yuri Isakov, owner of Better Barber in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix, says he never planned to be a barber, but it’s no surprise he did — it’s his family legacy. He was born in New York City but grew up in Phoenix, sweeping floors in his parents’ barbershop. Isakov’s parents are immigrants from the former USSR. They came to America looking for opportunity. They didn’t speak much English when they arrived, but they knew how to work hard and cut hair.

She created Citrine after her own health challenges sent her on a path to find clean products. As a teenager, Lenberg was diagnosed with two autoimmune conditions, rheumatoid arthritis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Daniel Shircliff of Primitive Glass is a glassblower, father, husband, skateboarder, hotrodder, Phoenix native, and more. He says he fell into glass blowing on accident, a total happenstance. As a kid, he wanted to be an artist because he thought it sounded good. He says he had no direction except for skateboarding, which taught him individual freedom, but a freedom that was earned through hard work and the embrace of failure.
