WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - After a stormy night across south-central Kansas, it is a quiet and cooler start to the day. After reaching the lower to middle 80s on Monday, this afternoon will be almost 20 degrees cooler with highs in the middle to upper 60s. More widespread storms are expected throughout the state on Wednesday, but once again the severe threat is very low.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - It is a stormy start to the day, especially across central Kansas. Expect storms, some om the strong side with heavy rain, gusty winds, and small hail through midday before we dry-out this afternoon. The chance of storms returns tonight, mainly over central and southern Kansas, before a cold front pushes all the activity south into Oklahoma by tomorrow morning. High temperatures in the lower to middle 70s today will be replaced by upper 60s and lower 70s on Friday.

As for today, mostly cloudy skies will turn mostly sunny as temperatures peak around 80 degrees this afternoon. Scattered showers and storms will be found over northern and western Kansas tonight before they eventually make their way to the Wichita area by tomorrow morning.
