WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Behind a cold front, today will be a tad cooler than Wednesday. However, high temperatures in the lower 70s keep us a few degrees above average. Expect similar temperatures tomorrow, but gusty winds today will relax on Friday making it a marvelous end to the work week. Stronger southerly winds return this weekend and so do warmer temperatures. Highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s on Saturday will be replaced by middle to upper 80s on Sunday.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - It is a milder morning across Kansas with wake-up temperatures in the 40s. Later today underneath mostly sunny skies temperatures will soar into the upper 70s and lower 80s, or 10 to 15 degrees above average. A relatively weak cold front will sweep across Kansas later today. While no precipitation is expected with its passage, temperatures will trend lower tomorrow and Friday. However, highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s keep us a few degrees above average for middle April.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - It is a chilly Monday morning with wake-up temperatures in the 20s and 30s, but sunny skies will take us into the near normal upper 60s this afternoon. After another cool night in the 30s, stronger winds from the south will send temperatures into the lower 70s on Tuesday afternoon. A relatively weak cold front will sweep across Kansas on Wednesday. While no precipitation is expected with its passage, temperatures will trend lower on Thursday and Friday.

(KWCH) - Meteorologist Jake Dunne says after a couple of cooler than normal days in the middle to upper 80s, expect near normal heat this afternoon as temperatures top-out near 90 degrees underneath mostly sunny skies. A weak system will move across the state tonight producing scattered showers and storms.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Last night’s showers and storms are quickly ending, and the day ahead will be quiet with cooler than usual temperatures in the middle to upper 80s underneath mostly sunny skies. The slightly cooler temperatures will stick around tomorrow, but higher heat promises to come back to Kansas by the end of the week. Expect highs in the lower to middle 90s on Thursday and Friday to flirt with the century mark this weekend.
