SAN ANGELO, TX— The Western Roundup will be held Saturday at the River Stage in downtown San Angelo. The Western Roundup is a cancer benefit concert where all the proceeds will go to five individuals who are currently battling cancer. Those five are Mallary Campos, Konner Barnes, Carlie Jo Johnson, Robert Lasater, and Ray Cook. Mallary Campos is 35 years old and was diagnosed with Stage 2B breast cancer in August 2024.

On Wednesday, May, 7, the Cowboys traded a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for wide receiver George Pickens and a 2027 sixth-round pick. There were rumblings of a trade for a wide receiver that involved Dallas since before the 2025 NFL Draft. Also, fans were upset that the Cowboys did not draft one.

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man was arrested after threatening someone with a knife at a job site. Andrew Reyes, 26, of San Angelo, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to court documents, on April 29, 2025, San Angelo police responded to the 3200 block of Red Bluff Road West regarding a call for service. Officers learned on scene from the victim that he had been threatened by Reyes with a knife.
