Last week, council members met and recommended changing the flat rate after 4 p.m. in lots A and B to a $3 per hour fee until 8 p.m.As for seasonal passes for non-residents and workers, members voted to recommend limiting season parking passes for non-residents to 350 at an annual rate of $225.

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD)-The Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday night that they are investigating an incident between a WCSO deputy and a local student. In a video posted to social media on Tuesday, a deputy and a student at Kingstree High School are shown in an altercation. As a result, an investigation has been launched. The sheriff's office said the actions in the video took place on Tuesday.

HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) - An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened Monday, leaving one person dead. Deonte Calden Trevon Lancit of Charleston was charged with armed robbery regarding the shooting on Bowen Pier Drive, according to the Hanahan Police Department. Officers responded to the location just after 9 p.m. and found one person who had died. Coroner Darnell Hartwell identified that individual as 18-year-old Tra'sean White from Wadmalaw Island.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - Police in North Charleston are investigating a shooting that happened near a Charleston County School District board member's home Tuesday. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Commander Road around 5:30 p.m.Witnesses said two individuals were firing at one another. One vehicle and two homes were hit by gunfire. However, no injuries were reported. CCSD Board Member Kevin Hollinshead confirmed that bullets struck his home.
