A Chicago man faces a felony charge in Will County that alleged he harassed one of the jurors who found him guilty of minor traffic offenses following a trial. On Wednesday, Christopher Gunn, 41, was taken to the Will County jail on a charge of harassment of a juror who found him guilty of failing to carry a driver’s license while operating a vehicle and disobeying a stop sign in a traffic case. Gun was sentenced to court supervision for those traffic offenses.

From March to September, there will be phased temporary road closures for the Cadillac Wakeman Flood Improvement Project, an infrastructure project which aims to decrease overland flooding in a portion of northeast Wheaton. The first phase of road closures is scheduled to begin March 13 for Washington Street from Parkway Drive to Cole Avenue.

Adding a few wins year over year has been the goal for the Woodland/Flanagan-Cornell baseball co-op since former Woodland standout Dan Essman took over as head coach following a one-win 2021 season, and it’s a goal at which the Warriors have mostly succeeded. Improving on 2023′s 6-16 campaign, though, will require WFC to overcome what looks to be, at least to start the season, some deficiencies in the pitching department outside of ace Tucker Hill.

The city of Joliet’s economic development director and his boss were out of their jobs Thursday, just days after the City Council complained about the pace of economic development activity. Economic Development Director Cesar Suarez and Director of Community Development Eva-Marie Tropper both left in what the city has termed resignations. Tropper headed the city department that includes economic development, planning, building inspections and other functions.
