ELKTON — The horses are still getting used to the new location of After The Races but the humans are enjoying every acre along Appleton Road. On a recent sunny morning, Bonnie McRae, executive director, walked the 20 acres and watched as volunteers worked with a handful of former racing thoroughbreds, helping them get comfortable with their new life. "Our long term plan is to re-do the fencing," she said, adding she wants to create more pastures.
