The darts match was being held at the Ex-Servicemen’s club in Gordon Road, Lowestoft, in September 2021 in memory of a former member, when Nathan Derry, who’d come second in the competition, complained about a woman who’d been watching the match being “too loud”.

    The sentencing hearing of a 26-year-old Ipswich man who has been convicted of assault has been adjourned for a second time to allow him to be legally represented after a judge warned him he was likely to receive a prison sentence. Two weeks ago Kamil Kwiecenski's sentencing hearing was adjourned so that he could get a lawyer to represent him but on Monday he returned to Ipswich Crown Court and said he was not eligible for legal aid and couldn’t afford a lawyer.

Before Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday for a plea and trial preparation hearing was 18-year-old Ryan Beaney. He pleaded guilty to an offence of intentional strangulation on June 6 last year in relation to his mother Tanya Beaney and an offence of threatening her with a knife on December 13 last year.
