CHEBOYGAN — Cheboygan’s most talented youth will be putting on a Disney classic this weekend. Staged by the Northland Players Summer Youth Theater program, kids ages 8-15 will be participating in “The Lion King, Jr.” at the Cheboygan Opera House on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. “It’s an epic,” said co-director Katie Mallory. “It’s an African theme, not the cartoon. It’s based on a Broadway show. It’s just over an hour long, so it’s great for everyone.
