WPBN-TV (Traverse City, MI)
WPBN-TV serves as the NBC-affiliated television station for Michigan's Northern Lower and Eastern Upper Peninsulas, operating out of Traverse City. The station transmits a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 47, which is recognized as virtual channel 7, from a transmitter located east of Kalkaska. Additionally, there is a low-powered digital translator on UHF channel 50 that broadcasts from a transmitter situated south of Harrietta in the Manistee National Forest. Owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, WPBN-TV also manages ABC affiliate WGTU and its full-time satellite WGTQ, which is owned by Cunningham Broadcasting, through a local marketing agreement (LMA). Both stations share studio facilities located on M-72, just west of Traverse City.
