Sarasota Bradenton International Airport has added another dining option for travelers. Located in Concourse B, the newMattison’s City Grille restaurant opened Monday, June 16. The restaurant group has three other Gulf Coast locations. There’s a City Grille in downtown Sarasota and another along the Bradenton Riverwalk. Mattison’s Forty-One and its catering service are in south Sarasota.

A colorful assortment ofsweet and savory baked goods line display cases inside Sweet Hut Bakery & Cafe’s first Florida store. Home Depot plans new Manatee County store, building records say

Home Depot is planning a new store in Manatee County. The home improvement retailer recently filed paperwork with Manatee County Development Services to build a store in the Parrish area at the southeast corner of Moccasin Wallow Road and Carter Road. According to building records, the store would occupy nearly 135,000 square feet and include a main building and garden center. The project plan also includes a parking lot with two spaces available for smaller businesses.

A popular local sports bar is bringing its burgers, beer and game day fun to a new part of Manatee County. Ed’s Tavern plans to open its third location in the Gateway Commons shopping plaza off Buffalo Road, near Moccasin Wallow Road and Interstate 75, co-owner Albert Myara said. It follows the original Ed’s Tavern off Lakewood Ranch’s Main Street and the second restaurant off State Road 64 East. It will also be the biggest, Myara said.
