An inquest into the death of Jayne Hunt, who died in a crash on Bollards Hill near Seend in 2023, had been due to start on Wednesday, May 7. But Wiltshire and Swindon Coroner’s Service confirmed this inquest has been adjourned under Rule 25(4) of the Coroner’s Inquest Rules 2013.

Northgate Street in Devizes was closed in both directions for a month after the blaze gutted The Kebab and Pizza House last November and reopened under a one-way system in December.

Traffic tailing back from Rowden Hill towards the Bridge Centre in Chippenham (Image: Newsquest) Roadworks are scheduled to continue on a main road into a Wiltshire town following a week of long queues and delays. Temporary traffic lights have been causing congestion in both directions on the A4 Rowden Hill in Chippenham during peak traffic times. The restrictions are in place while Wiltshire Council upgrades the existing pedestrian crossing near Chippenham Community Hospital.
