CLEVELAND - This isn't the first time Donovan Mitchell has played on a team that legitimately could win an NBA championship, but his list of opportunities isn't a long one. This is certainly Kenny Atkinson's first real chance at guiding a team to a title, something precious few coaches ever get the opportunity to do. Now that the Cavs have clinched the top seed and will enjoy home-court advantage throughout the East, it's fair to start considering the possibility of parades down East 9th again.

PALM BEACH, Fla. - The issue with the Haslams has never been about accountability. They acknowledged a few years ago they didn't know what they were doing when they bought the Browns. They've admitted on multiple occasions their efforts to win haven't been good enough. They've acknowledged they're embarrassed by their record since taking over as stewards of this once-proud franchise.

PALM BEACH, Fla. - For all of the gadget plays and laterals NFL coaches have drawn up and mastered over the last 60 years, no trick play is more effective than the "player safety" reverse many league officials are calling again this week in stuffy conference rooms on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. This time it's the "tush push," the Philadelphia Eagles' unstoppable short-yardage play.

Trying to pick all the winners in an NCAA bracket pool is like trying to predict the price of crypto every day for the next six weeks. Sixty-three games, 63 chances to watch the market crash. There has never been a perfect bracket, according to the NCAA. The closest anyone came was in 2019 when a Columbus, Ohio man correctly predicted every game into the Sweet 16. When No. 2 Tennessee lost to No. 3 Purdue in overtime, Greg Nigl's bracket suffered the same fate as all the ones that came before him.

The victory snapped the NBA's longest winning streak in three years. The Cavs and Magic are certainly familiar with each other after they staged the best first-round series of last year's postseason, and they could meet again this year.

Either it's ok to give public money to pro teams or it's not. Basing it on a winning record over an arbitrary 5-year period, when these facilities are built to last 30+ years, is totally absurd. A 9-8 season is worth $600 million but 8-9 isn't? Got it.

The Cleveland Browns are asking for $600 million from the state to build a new stadium. Right now, the $$ is in the state budget. Meanwhile, Sen. @billdemora wants to prohibit public money from going to a professional team unless it has a winning record 3 of the last 5 seasons: https://t.co/OdiiISpWTX

As the Cavs and Spurs tip, ⁦@_Brian_Hamilton⁩ wrote a great piece on the analytics approach that has carried Florida to the Final Four — and the Cavs to the top of the East. Koby Altman’s roots are wrapped in the same Ivy League soil as Todd Golden https://t.co/brV2Ojf5WZ
