The Macon-Bibb County Commission approved a contract June 3 with MFA Program Management — a project management company based in Memphis, Tennessee — to plan and oversee the construction of a new sports arena. Two more people have been arrested in a deadly shooting that happened at Midtown Daiquiri Bar and Grill in Macon last month, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday. The shooting, which happened at midnight on May 18, left three dead and six wounded. Jarrius Terrell Curry, 28, was arrested Friday just before 3 p.m. and charged with five counts of aggravated assault in connection to the shooting, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The speed enforcement cameras will be active during summer school and safety camps between from June to July.
