GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — The Hancock County Democrats are speaking out against a proposed data center, saying it disrespects a long-standing local business. As I-Team 8 previously reported, officials are looking to build the center in the field just across from Tuttle Orchards: A family-friendly farm that’s been around for almost 100 years. The farm’s owner saying they worry the center will change the character of the area.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — At least six people, including juveniles, were injured in a two-vehicle crash after a police chase on the city’s east side, police say. According to the Beech Grove Police Department, officers initiated a police chase with a white Chevrolet Tahoe, but the pursuit was ended after officers determined that it was too risky. At 6:30 p.m. Saturday, the Tahoe crashed into another vehicle near the intersection of East Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive and South Sherman Drive.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Cultures from across Asia and the Pacific Islands converged in downtown Indianapolis Saturday for Asian Fest. Live music, dancing, and martials arts from local performers, some as young as 4, filled the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center. Cuisine from across the continent was also available to try. The Indiana Historical Society organized the event to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. WISH-TV’s own Allan Haw emceed the event.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Families were jumping up and down to attend the final session of Indianapolis Public School’s Family Academy before the end of the school year. Saturday’s event highlighted all things health, offering free workout classes for students and parents. Several vendors from local medical practices were also in attendance, offering services free massages and other services.
