GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — The Hancock County Democrats are speaking out against a proposed data center, saying it disrespects a long-standing local business. As I-Team 8 previously reported, officials are looking to build the center in the field just across from Tuttle Orchards: A family-friendly farm that’s been around for almost 100 years. The farm’s owner saying they worry the center will change the character of the area.
East side police chase ends in crash; at least 6 injured, including juveniles

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — At least six people, including juveniles, were injured in a two-vehicle crash after a police chase on the city’s east side, police say. According to the Beech Grove Police Department, officers initiated a police chase with a white Chevrolet Tahoe, but the pursuit was ended after officers determined that it was too risky. At 6:30 p.m. Saturday, the Tahoe crashed into another vehicle near the intersection of East Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive and South Sherman Drive.
Asian Fest held at Indiana Historical Society

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Cultures from across Asia and the Pacific Islands converged in downtown Indianapolis Saturday for Asian Fest. Live music, dancing, and martials arts from local performers, some as young as 4, filled the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center. Cuisine from across the continent was also available to try. The Indiana Historical Society organized the event to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. WISH-TV’s own Allan Haw emceed the event.

Saturday’s event highlighted all things health, offering free workout classes for students and parents. LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana State Police troopers on Saturday are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash in Tippecanoe County. Shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday, ISP troopers and Clinton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 near the 163-mile marker. That is five miles north of State Road 28 and just inside the Tippecanoe County line.
US-China tariff talks to continue Sunday

GENEVA (AP) — Sensitive talks between U.S. and Chinese delegations over tariffs that threaten to upend the global economy ended after a day of prolonged negotiations and will resume Sunday, an official told The Associated Press. There was no immediate indication whether progress was made Saturday during the meeting over 10 hours between Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.

(CNN) — Clarksdale, Mississippi – which serves as inspiration for the setting of the Michael B. Jordan-starring film “Sinners” – does not have a local cineplex, which led community organizer Tyler Yarbrough to ask the filmmakers and studio behind the project to host a screening in the city. Yarbrough, along with Clarksdale mayor Chuck Espy, spoke to CNN’s Victor Blackwell for the “Art is Life” segment on Saturday, and shared their hopes that the screening will become a reality.
Investigation underway after diver dies during superyacht salvage

ROME (AP) — The recovery of a superyacht that sank last year off the Sicilian coast was temporarily halted Saturday following the death of a specialist diver while working underwater, the company overseeing the operation said. U.K. tech magnate Mike Lynch, his daughter and five others died in August after a powerful storm slammed the Bayesian. The luxury vessel has since been 49 meters (160 feet) underwater.
