PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- After extolling the positives that took place over the past 12 months in Pepper Pike, Mayor Richard Bain, saved for the final portion of his annual state-of-the city address his feelings about Issue 17 -- the proposed city charter changes voters will be asked to decide May 6. In delivering his address Thursday (April 17) before about 45 people in the Brady Middle School cafeteria at a Pepper Pike Civic League event, Bain let it be known that he opposes passage of Issue 17.

Miciak’s retirement will mark the end of a career spanning five decades in the United States and Canada. UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Back in January, John Carroll University’s radio station, WJCU 88.7 FM, was named Station of the Year by the International Student Broadcasting Championship (ISBC), making it the world’s top college radio station. On Monday (April 14), it was time to celebrate that accomplishment. It was on Monday that representatives from the ISBC arrived in University Heights from Australia to present the station with its Station of the Year trophy and banner.
