The City of Cincinnati hosted the cleanup at the LeBlond Recreation Center located at 2335 Riverside Drive to help those affected by the flood. Volunteers picked up debris, trash, and other items left behind on the streets and parks in the city.

COVINGTON, Ky (WXIX) -Red Cross volunteers started to work Saturday night, setting up shelters for Northern Kentucky residents affected by the floods. The City of Covington announced Saturday that they were urging residents who live near the intersection of Banlick Creek and the Licking River. They told residents to shelter at Latonia Elementary School. Resident Judy Jones sought shelter before the waters rose where they live at Rosedale Mobile Home Park.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) -The City of Cincinnati is continuing to keep residents safe as flood levels continue to rise. Cincinnati Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Flagler says that they have been preparing for flood waters even before the rain started to come down. “We did a lot of work underground all week, kind of getting the sewer system prepared, and now the flood gates are going up today around the Central Business District,” Flagler said.

Milford Fire Chief Mark Baird said the Clermont County Coroner’s Office had been called to the scene after a “tragic situation” unfolded in the 700 block of Elizabeth Street. A neighbor reported the fire at 1:21 a.m. Thursday. When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames, according to the fire chief.
