    CINCINNATI (WXIX) -Hundreds of climbers raised over $180,000 for the American Lung Association by donating and participating in the annual “Fight for Air Climb” at the TQL Stadium Sunday. Runners, walkers, firefighters (in full gear), and other first responders climbed about 1,000 stairs to the top of the stadium to raise money for the fight against lung disease and lung cancer. Each climber participates in the cause to promote clean air.

The City of Cincinnati hosted the cleanup at the LeBlond Recreation Center located at 2335 Riverside Drive to help those affected by the flood. Volunteers picked up debris, trash, and other items left behind on the streets and parks in the city.

    COVINGTON, Ky (WXIX) -Red Cross volunteers started to work Saturday night, setting up shelters for Northern Kentucky residents affected by the floods. The City of Covington announced Saturday that they were urging residents who live near the intersection of Banlick Creek and the Licking River. They told residents to shelter at Latonia Elementary School. Resident Judy Jones sought shelter before the waters rose where they live at Rosedale Mobile Home Park.
