Police identified a suspect in a hit-and-run at Toronto Metropolitan University that injured four on Tuesday as Ryan Petroff, 23, of Toronto. “We believe this individual is dangerous,” said Insp. Errol Watson at a press conference Wednesday. Watson urged Petroff to get a lawyer and turn himself in to the police. He said police have not yet located the vehicle, a green 4-door Honda Accord, which he said was using stolen licence plates, DEDZ 565.

The hit-and-run driver who injured four people Tuesday at the downtown campus of Toronto Metropolitan University knew one of the victims and may have been targeting them, Toronto police say. Just before 2 p.m., four people were injured on a pedestrian walkway, including two who were sent to hospital — one with minor injuries and the other with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
