ALTON, Ill. — Two people were injured after a shooting Tuesday night in Alton. According to the Alton Police Department, someone called the police at about 9 p.m. to report she was driving to an area hospital after being involved in a shooting on Homer Adams Parkway near College Avenue. A short time later, two gunshot victims arrived at the hospital. Police said one of the victims was flown to another hospital for further treatment. Both victims were in "stable condition" on Wednesday morning.

FLORISSANT, Mo. — The St. Louis County Police Department issued an endangered person advisory for a woman missing out of Florissant. Shimika Braddix, 42, was last seen at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday leaving her home in the 3500 block of Arpent Lane. Police said Braddix is deaf and has limited cognitive functioning with the mental capacity of a young child. She's 4-foot-11 and 250 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt, bright red hoodie and black pants.

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis man was sentenced Tuesday to serve the rest of his life in prison for child sex crimes. According to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office, 57-year-old Jeffrey Jones, already a registered sex offender, pleaded guilty to additional child sex crimes, including first-degree statutory sodomy, first-degree attempted statutory sodomy and two counts of first-degree child molestation.

The suspect allegedly followed the victim and shot at her vehicle multiple times after she cut him off in a 7-Eleven parking lot. Christopher Deungria Sanders, 27, was charged with first-degree assault, two counts of armed criminal, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a dangerous felon in connection with the incident.
