Sheriff Dwayne Carey said the 18-year-old was shot and killed on North Frederick Drive around 8 p.m.Carey said several people were in the street before a fight broke out. Investigators do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence.

A Columbia man was charged, accused of passing a fake one hundred dollar bill at a bar at the Lake of the Ozarks. Court documents state that a Camden County sheriff’s deputy was working a security detail at a bar on Friday. At 11:40 p.m., the bar’s security staff brought a man to the deputy. They said the man, TC Littrice, had passed a fake $100 to a bartender. The documents state that Littrice also had seven other fake $100s. The deputy arrested Littrice.

A Holts Summit woman has been charged, accused of letting her dog bite a police officer. Court documents indicate that it happened on May 23 at 8:55 p.m.The officer went to a residence in Holts Summit for a report of a domestic disturbance. The officer reported that Corina Combs was heavily intoxicated. He said that Combs got a dog out of a truck and was holding it by the collar. The officer said the dog was acting aggressively.

A Holts Summit man faces several charges after an investigation that started because of a Google search on a school computer. A Callaway County Sheriff’s deputy was notified of a Children’s Division hotline report on April 29. Court documents state that a 12-year-old searched “We were going to kill my dad because he tried to touch me inappropriate.”The search was flagged, and school personnel were informed.
