The Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District reported a major vehicle crash on Interstate 44 on Monday afternoon. DRFPD units were responding to the 172.4 mile marker for the westbound lanes. A post on the department’s Facebook page states that two vehicles had rolled over.

A Waynesville man was charged with making terrorist threats against what he thought was a church in Missouri. A pastor of a Westside Baptist Church in the state of Georgia contacted the Waynesville Police Department on April 7, 2025. He said a threatening post had been left on their Facebook page. Court documents state that it read: “You better pray for the punk [victim] who pulled a gun and put hands on my son.

A Warrenton man was charged with drug trafficking after he was found unresponsive in a vehicle. On Saturday at 9:38 a.m., a Montgomery County deputy responded to a call of a non-responsive person in a vehicle in Jonesburg, Mo.The deputy when they got to a scene, a man was in the vehicle, conscious, but “staggering in their seat.”Court documents state that while trying to get the driver’s attention, the deputy spotted a used syringe in the seat. Eventually, the driver stepped out of the vehicle.

No one was hurt after a house fire Sunday morning in Jefferson City. The Jefferson City Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of West McCarty at 1:01 a.m. on Sunday. When firefighters got to the scene, heavy smoke was coming from the first floor and the basement. The heaviest fire was showing from a vehicle in a garage in the basement. The fire was put out, but there was smoke damage on all levels of the home. The vehicle was a total loss.

Two women were hurt in a head-on collision Sunday morning in Camden County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported in their online crash reports that it happened at 8:20 a.m. on Route A, east of Monarch Lane. A 31-year-old Macks Creek woman was driving a 2015 Mazda 3 westbound. The car crossed the centerline and hit a 2016 Kia Soul head-on. The Kia was driven by a 32-year-old woman from Macks Creek, who had minor injuries. Her passenger, a 57-year-old woman from Macks Creek, had serious injuries.
