HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The quiet weather is forecast to continue heading into the upcoming workweek. Aside from isolated showers, there will be plenty of sunshine and limited clouds. The week will start breezy, sunny, and warm before a cold front moves through the region late Monday night into Tuesday morning. Ahead of the front, winds will strengthen out of the south-southwest, filtering warm air into the region.

Finally, we will have a nice, dry weekend with mild temperatures expected over Saturday and Sunday. High pressure will build into the region Friday night and settle to the northwest on Saturday. With this high positioned to the northwest, winds will be out of the north, filtering in cooler and drier air into the region.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The National Weather Service surveyed additional damage in eastern Colbert County on Tuesday near Ford City. The purpose of this survey was to determine if the one tornado that tracked through Tuscumbia tracked over the river into Lauderdale County or lifted first. The NWS determined that damage located northeast of Nitrate City and near Ford City was produced by an EF1 tornado. This connected the “Tuscumbia” and “Aqua Vista” tornado tracks into one.

UPDATE: 4/7: Thanks to some drone video from the Lauderdale County EMA, the National Weather Service confirmed a second tornado track in Lauderdale County, just north of the Aqua Vista track. It was also rated as an EF-1 tornado. More details will be available soon. HUNTSVILLE, Ala.
