The Weather Authority will be monitoring the chance for isolated strong to severe storms Monday afternoon and evening. The cut-off low will remain in place across the south. The counter-clockwise rotation around the low will support a continued flow of deep moisture into the region.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Weather Authority is tracking the next system that is set to bring the threat of stronger rain and storms to the Tennessee Valley. A Weather Authority Impact Day has been issued for Thursday afternoon and evening for the threat of strong to isolated severe storms. Strong damaging winds greater than 50 mph, hail, frequent lightning, and heavy rain will all be possible with storms that are able to form.

JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — On Saturday afternoon, a line of strong to severe storms tracked through the Tennessee Valley, producing frequent lightning, strong winds, heavy rain and hail. The Weather Authority was closely monitoring this line of storms as it moved into Northeast Alabama. The storms continued to strengthen over a favorable environment across Northeast Alabama, prompting severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — After seeing a line of strong to severe storms track through on Saturday, the area will now see the threat of dense fog overnight. A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued by the NWS in Huntsville until 9 a.m. Sunday. All counties in North Alabama are included in the advisory, along with Franklin, Lincoln, and Moore counties in Tennessee. Lingering low-level moisture overnight, combined with a calm breeze and mainly clear skies, will support dense fog development.
