GREENWICH — Greenwich elementary school parents were not happy about the possibility of their children starting school before 8 a.m. This idea was on the table solely because school district officials and the Board of Education are now tasked with finding ways to cut costs to trim the operating budget by over $4 million per the Board of Estimate and Taxation's vote. Moving elementary start times up to before 8 a.m. could save Greenwich Public Schools over $1.3 million.
