NEW CANAAN - A proposed affordable housing development on Hill Street won one of its three battles in Superior Court after a judge found that New Canaan's water pollution authority wrongfully rejected its application. Last week, the Superior Court of Hartford ruled in favor of Hill Street-72 LLC, owned by local developer Arnold Karp, claiming New Canaan's Water Pollution Control Authority did not have the evidence to support rejecting the development.

NEW CANAAN — The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Taste of New Canaan Stroll on Thursday, offering those in attendance a sampling of downtown New Canaan's cuisine. This year's stroll kicked off at Stewart’s Wine & Spirits at 5 p.m. Attendees had the option to participate in one of three self-guided tours: the Taste Tour for some of New Canaan's signature eateries, the family-friendly Family Fiesta, or the 21-and-older Wine Trail.
