The amendment would allow for the salary of an additional employee. Upon hearing Everett’s presentation, the Committee agreed to amend the budget, allocating an extra $6,047.56 to the Senior Center, while continuing to provide the already allocated $20,004.

A columbarium, also known as a cinerarium, is a structure often found in cemeteries, designed to hold urns containing cremated remains. City Planner Kenny Thompson stated that Trinity Anglican Church currently operates its church campus at 325 W.

    Published 9:45 am Monday, June 2, 2025 Some of you may have noticed I was gone this past week. For the second year, I was volunteering with Thomas County YoungLife to take kids to camp. This year we traveled to Jasper, Ga., where we attended Sharptop Cove with 42 of our high school friends. On the way to Sharptop, we went whitewater rafting in Columbus. For most of the kids, this was a new and exciting experience.
