    Ice Cube is heading back to town. Hip-hop music icon Ice Cube, who is also a very successful actor, brings his Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude tour to Oakland Arena on Sept. 25. The trek, which is first North American headlining jaunt from Ice Cube in over a decade, will reportedly highlight the rapper’s 40-year career. “Truth to Power is more than a tour — it’s a 40-year celebration,” Ice Cube said in a statement. “The world needs truth. The people need power. And that’s what my music brings.

    Two of hard rock’s most legendary acts — Alice Cooper and Judas Priest — are heading for the Bay Area. Alice Cooper and Judas Priest perform Oct. 14 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View as part of a 22-city co-headlining run. The trek also includes a stop at Toyota Amphitheatre in Wheatland on Oct. 15. Judas Priest and Alice Cooper tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. April 18, livenation.com.     Phish has had to deal with a huge number of haters and skeptics over the decades, ones who chose to go the contempt-prior-to-investigation route and just parrot all the tired hippie/granola clichés that have long dogged the jam-band genre. But you know what?
