KQED (channel 9) is a PBS-affiliated television station based in San Francisco, California, serving the Bay Area. It is owned by KQED Inc., which also operates another PBS station, KQEH (channel 54), and NPR station KQED-FM (88.5). All three stations are located in shared studios on Mariposa Street in the Mission District of San Francisco and broadcast from transmitter facilities on top of Sutro Tower.
