Oct. 16—BROCTON — Corey Mason's TreeHouse Meadery has come a long way. What began as a hobby with his first batch fermented in a laundry closet has since blossomed into a tasting room in Brocton offering a variety of flavors of mead — not to mention home-brewed cider and wine — that just celebrated its first anniversary earlier this month. Mason recalled he encountered his first growler of craft beer in 2009 and quickly wanted to learn more.
