    When I was a younger man, I remember a conversation I had with a local, longtime recreation director. We were watching a fairly compelling pee wee basketball all-star game. The score was close, the kids were into it. With just a few seconds remaining in a tie game, one of the coaches dropped the wrong word to one of the officials and received a technical foul.     UNITY — In March 2020 the library that served the towns of Unity, Troy, Thorndike, Burnham, Freedom and Knox was on life support.
