On April 29, the City Council met during a work session to discuss challenges the city currently faces, and to set priorities moving forward. City Manager Erin Herbig sent a survey to council members, asking each to identify some of the most challenging issues facing the city of Belfast. During the April 29 work session, Herbig provided the results of the survey, which contained a list of 14 priority issues.

Several Belfast Area High School students and Belfast Marine Institute (BMI) staff recently took part in the inaugural voyage of the Belfast Marine Institute’s fleet of kayaks. NORTHPORT — Nearly 60 Northport residents gathered on April 30 at the Drinkwater School for an update on the town’s plans to build a new town office and community center.
