In Santa Ana near Los Angeles, armored vehicles blocked the road Tuesday morning, leading into the Civic Center, where federal immigration officers and numerous city and county agencies have their offices. Workers swept up plastic bottles and broken glass from the protests on Monday. Tiny shards of red, black and purple glass littered the pavement. Vandals tagged nearby buildings and the sidewalk with profane graffiti slogans against ICE, crossing out Trumpβs name.

The Department of Homeland Security has removed a list of what it labeled βsanctuary jurisdictionsβ from its website. Some cities found themselves on the list, including Huntington Beach, which declared itself a non-sanctuary city in January of this year. Mayor Pat Burns said it was a mistake it happened. βIf youβre going to threaten to take away certain things like β¦ federal [funding] because youβre a sanctuary city, well, get that list right,β he said.
