    Foul play is not suspected after a 46-year-old man was found dead inside a limousine that caught fire in Whitby last week, say police. On April 17, just before 9 a.m., Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) responded to an “assist-fire” call near Consumers Drive and Brock Street. They said Whitby Fire had contacted them after finding a deceased person within a vehicle. On Monday, the deceased person was identified as 46-year-old Jason Webber.

    A man in his 50s has been taken to the hospital following a collision between a taxi and another vehicle on Sunday in downtown Toronto. Toronto police said they were called to the area of Yonge Street and Lake Shore Boulevard shortly before 2 p.m. for reports of a crash where a cab flipped over. Paramedics told CTV News that they arrived at the scene and assessed three people, one of whom was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Toronto police have identified two young adults as the city’s latest homicide victims of the year. They are 18-year-old Quentin Caza and 20-year-old Jeremy McNeil, both of Toronto, and are the city’s ninth and 10th murder victims of 2025. On Tuesday, at about 11:15 p.m., police were called to the city’s Riverdale area, near Bain and Logan avenues, for reports of gunshots. There, officers said they found two men who had been shot.

    Police believe there may be more victims after a 31-year-old man from Markham was charged following an investigation into the filming of a young person inside a unisex changeroom at a local community centre. That incident happened on Aug. 21, 2024 at the Milliken Mills Community Centre at 7600 Kennedy Rd., just south of 14th Avenue.

    Toronto police have released a photo of a male suspect who is wanted for allegedly stabbing one person in the city’s downtown east area on Wednesday evening. The incident happened near Sherbourne Street and Dundas Street East. Police said they were called to that area just before 7:30 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. Investigators allege that two people got into a fight during which one of them took out a knife and stabbed the other person.
