Police in York Region are searching for two suspects who are wanted in connection with an investigation that resulted in charges laid against 15 people and the seizure of more than $3.5 million worth of psychedelic drugs. Toronto police are searching for a 23-year-old man they allege is responsible for a hit-and-run on the Toronto Metropolitan University campus that injured four bystanders, including two seriously, on Tuesday afternoon. During a Wednesday afternoon news conference, police identified the suspect as Toronto resident Ryan Petroff. They also provided more details about the vehicle he allegedly drove and fled in, saying that it is a green, four-door Honda Accord with the licence plate DEDZ 565.

Police in Halton Region are discouraging youth from participating in the “Assassins Game” following a series of reported incidents earlier this week. Investigators said in some cases, the water or Nerf-style guns used by elementary and high school students to hunt each other have “resembled real firearms,” resulting in people calling the authorities. These so-called ‘assassinations’ can occur in a variety of settings, police said, including in public during the day and/or evening hours.

Toronto police say they believe one person was intentionally targetted by a driver who struck and injured four pedestrians on the TMU campus Tuesday afternoon before fleeing the area. The incident happened just before 2 p.m. on Nelson Mandela Walk, a pedestrian-only walkway near Yonge Street and Gerrard Street East. Police said officers at the scene found four pedestrians with reported injuries. Two of the victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance, they said.
