El Alamo on South 24th Street is open for business, sizzling fajitas, steaks, and other Latin American cuisine. “In the past year, you can see people,” Ignacio Chavez, manager of El Alamo, said. “The street is full of people buying stuff.”Recently, many people aren’t turning up and are staying home instead.

    OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Amid ICE enforcement operations in South Omaha, dozens took to the streets to protest. It was an emotionally filled day with sounds echoing from the community to show their solidarity with the immigrant community. Dozens waved signs along 33rd and L Streets. Some said “Omaha Doesn’t Run Without Immigrants” and “No Human Being is Illegal.”Others crossed the road, yelling to abolish ICE as people in cars and trucks honked to show their support.

    (WOWT) - On this First Alert 6 Weather Day, the National Weather Service office in Valley is facing a deluge of problems. Staffing shortages and fewer weather balloon launches remain an issue. In April, Congressman Mike Flood promised things would get better, but so far they haven’t. First Alert 6 has been asking Flood’s office since May 8th why improved data collection has been delayed at the National Weather Service.
