With an Innisfail RCMP cruiser leading the way, the show was on for the Innisfail Rotary Pro Rodeo Parade, held every year on the Saturday of Innisfail’s rodeo weekend to coincide with the Daines Ranch Pro Rodeo. And Dani Rain, the Rotary Club of Innisfail’s parade coordinator, could not be happier.

    INNISFAIL – Innisfail will soon have a special area adorned with trees from all 10 provinces and two territories. Three others will also be dressed up with selected trees chosen for their climate hardiness, species diversity, and low maintenance requirements. The new initiative is made possible from a recently approved $25,000 grant from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ (FCM) Growing Canada’s Community Canopy (GCCC) Program.

    INNISFAIL – A packed house in the auditorium of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104 in Innisfail on May 31 has helped raise thousands of dollars to buy up to 20 wheelchairs for needy citizens in the Philippines. The dinner dance party event was the 11th annual event held by the Phil-Can Neighbourhood Association, a local organization that has dedicated its collective philanthropy for more than a decade to the needs of others.
